Overview

We were commissioned to capture the fast-paced work of Chevron technicians performing drive-up oil changes, highlighting the professionalism and efficiency of their team. The goal was to produce a visually engaging, documentary-style piece that showcased the speed, coordination, and customer-focused service Chevron provides—aimed at brand awareness and public perception.

Challenges & Approach

As a one-person crew filming in an active work environment, the main challenge was balancing cinematic coverage with respect for the team’s tight workflow. Using only natural lighting and a single camera setup, I strategically captured a variety of angles and moments without disrupting their process. Careful planning and reactive shooting allowed for maximum coverage within a limited time and space, resulting in dynamic, real-world visuals that felt both authentic and polished.

The result

The final piece offers a raw, immersive glimpse into Chevron’s high-efficiency service model—featuring fluid movement, clean compositions, and natural ambiance. Despite the solo shoot setup, the project feels energetic and purposeful, effectively communicating the brand’s commitment to speed and care. It served as a strong visual asset to enhance Chevron’s brand identity.
